Support our mahi!

Here at Sense Rugby we believe all tamariki and rangatahi should have the opportunity to participate in the national sport with a safe and supportive environment.

Sense Rugby was originally designed for those with invisible disabilities, who experience differences in their social and emotional capacities, motor skills and sensory processing, which makes joining a regular rugby team super challenging. For these young people in Aotearoa there is very little opportunity for them to take part in team sport and active recreation that meets their diverse needs.

Sense Rugby provides a rugby programme led by trained Pediatric Occupational Therapists and each session is designed to cater for the groups bespoke needs. By taking part in our sessions our young people get an experience that meets their needs and allows them to build confidence, develop a sense of community and connection to sport, and receive the many benefits of living an active lifestyle.

Donations we receive from our generous supporters ensure we can continue to help disabled tamariki and rangatahi thrive and grow through rugby!
